Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is a walking highlight. The NBA released his best plays after he was named an All-Star starter. See the video here.
The Dallas Mavericks only had two players start an All-Star game in their 39 years of existence. Dirk Nowitzki did it twice in 2007 and 2010. Jason Kidd also got the nod in 1996. The Mavs are adding a third as Luka Doncic was selected to start the 2020 All-Star game on Thursday in the Mavericks 40th season.
Doncic is incredible. To start the All-Star game as a 20-year-old is nearly unheard of in the NBA. Only six players in NBA history have been younger. Dirk was 28 in 2007 when he drew his first start.
Luka was more than deserving, though. He is walking triple-double. Doncic remains in the mix to win the MVP award in his second NBA season. He has been absolutely incredible, and there are no signs of him slowing down. Luka also has the Mavericks in the thick of the playoff race.
Best plays so far
To celebrate Luka Doncic being named an All-Star starter and making his first team, the NBA released a highlight video from his first 40 games played this season. Fans can enjoy the mix below.
Few NBA players can produce over 17 minutes of highlights in a half-season. Luka is special. He plays with a flare that makes it impossible to stop watching.
Dallas Mavericks supporters should expect Doncic to improve too. Being named an All-Star starter is only the beginning. He should be in the running to win MVP for the foreseeable future. There is no ceiling. Luka could legitimately become an all-time great.
