First half

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks started the game off slow. They did not score their first point until 7:30 remaining in the first quarter when Dwight Powell made a free throw. The Mavs opening basket came on a KP jump shot assisted by Luka about 30 seconds later.

The team got on track after that. Doncic hit a trick shot that will have supporters talking for days to come in the first. Take a look at the play again.

The 20-year-old finished the opening quarter with nine points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in ten minutes of action.

He stayed on the bench until 6:01 remaining in the second quarter. The Mavericks were ahead 39-34 when Doncic reentered the game. He had a bit of quiet shift. Luka had three points, two rebounds, and two assists as the Clippers built an 11-point lead heading into halftime.

Doncic was just four of 12 from the field in the first half, and he missed three of his six free throws. The Clippers always find ways to slow him down. They have a lot of tremendous perimeter defenders who constantly make life difficult on Doncic.

That did not stop him going off in the third quarter, though.
