That was only the beginning for the 20-year-old star. He carved up the Bulls defense in the opening quarter. Doncic found Tim Hardaway Jr. for three open 3-pointers while mixing in his scoring. His ability to find open teammates has made the Mavericks offense historically great. Dallas consistently gets easy looks and converts them at a high clip.
Luka showed off his repertoire too. He opened his scoring by driving into the paint and drawing a foul. That was followed by drilling a 3-pointer. Then, came a driving layup before being fouled while shooting a triple. Luka made two of the three free throws.
Doncic exited with 2:43 remaining in the first quarter. He had nine points, four rebounds, and four assists. The Dallas Mavericks had an eight-point led when Luka went to bench. The Bulls closed it to 33-27 by the time the first quarter wrapped up.
Luka Doncic had a strong first, but he that was nothing compared to the show he put on in the third quarter on Monday evening.
