Dallas Mavericks: Luka Doncic leading the NBA in All-Star votes so far
By Tyler Watts
Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic tops the entire NBA in All-Star fan votes after the first release on Jan. 2. Find out the latest here.
Dallas Mavericks supporters cannot get enough Luka Doncic. The 20-year-old is playing his way into becoming a superstar. He remains a nightly triple-double threat that has taken over as one of the NBA’s top scorers. Luka can also produce highlights at an unprecedented rate.
The leap this early in his career has been incredible. Doncic is producing stats that no player has accomplished in NBA history especially at 20 years old. Things should only improve for the Mavs star too.
Luka Doncic received the third-most fan votes for the All-Star game last season, but he failed to make the team. He is looking to right that wrong in his second season. This year the events are in Chicago on Feb. 14-16.

Luka leads all players
Here are the first All-Star vote totals courtesy of the NBA’s official Twitter account.
Luka Doncic is the top vote-getter in the NBA with 1.073 million. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a close second followed by LeBron James in third. That is absolutely incredible. It would make Luka the captain of his squad. He would then draft his team.
The Mavs official Twitter announced the news with links on how to vote for Doncic.

Fan voting is only 50 percent of the total now. The media and the players both get 25 percent of the vote as well.
There is no way Luka is on the outside looking in again. He is third in the NBA in scoring and third in assists. His popularity continues to increase as well. Do not be surprised to see him top the voting after the final returns in 2020.
