Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic did not play against the Raptors on Dec. 22, but that did not stop Kyle Lowry from heaping some massive praise on him.

The Dallas Mavericks let one slip away on Sunday afternoon. They built a 30-point lead in the second half, but it quickly vanished as the Toronto Raptors scored 47 points in the fourth quarter on their home floor. It ultimately went in the record books as a 110-107 Toronto win.

It was the Mavs fourth straight game without Luka Doncic. The 20-year-old star injured his ankle on Dec. 14. He continues progressing in his rehab but remains sidelined for games. Fans can check here for the latest update.

Doncic may have missed the game, but that did not stop Raptors All-Star guard Kyle Lowry from heaping the praise on him. Fans can see his full postgame interview here.

Lowry likes what he sees

His answer about Luka was the highest praise possible. Lowry went as far as to say, “I’m sure he’ll be at the All-Star game”. He also mentioned that Doncic should only get better, but has the chance to be at the top for the next two decades if he wants.

Lowry is a five-time All-Star that helped led the Raptors to the championship last season. For him to be “impressed” with Luka Doncic is no small feat. Lowry will be back at the All-Star game and in the playoffs again this season. Hopefully, Doncic can do the same.

Dallas Mavericks supporters know that the 20-year-old is special. Hopefully, his ankle heals up quickly. The team needs Luka carving up defenses, so they can continue their push for home-court in the first round of the playoffs.
