Finals Predictions

Clippers over Bucks

“Clippers over Bucks in 5. I think Kawhi gets it done once again as their depth will be too much for the Lakers in the playoffs and their star power too much for the Bucks to handle in the Finals. The Clippers are extremely talented and have a great coach in Doc Rivers. Kawhi Leonard will secure the Finals MVP award making him the first player in history to do so with three different teams. More importantly, the Clippers will finally earn their first championship in franchise history and show up the big brother Lakers.” –Sean Bush

“Even after losing Brogdon, the Bucks still have enough capable ball handlers to give the Clippers fits in a finals matchup and navigate through the east with Kawhi Leonard out of the picture. The Clippers, with George and Leonard, have a ridiculous supporting cast around them, led by Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley. Throw in Montrezl Harrell and Mo Harkless, and the roster is composed of in the cosmos. Doc Rivers will also continue to develop the impressive Landry Shamet, and push the Clippers towards the top of the NBA.” –Evan Siegel

Bucks over Clippers

“Bucks over Clippers. The East is really weak this year and Milwaukee is poised to win 60+ games. That confidence will help a Bucks team that knows they were right on the cusp of a potential championship last year. The West is even more stacked than usual and could cause a lot of teams clumped together near the top. The continuity of the Bucks team will be the ultimate difference maker when the Clippers come limping into the Finals.” –Keatn Rast

Clippers over 76ers

“I fully expect a conference finals matchup to be Lakers vs. Clippers and Bucks vs. Sixers. From there I think that Kawhi meets another NBA Finals except this one will be against the Philadelphia 76ers. I think that losing Jimmy Butler, but recovering by adding Al Horford and Josh Richardson puts them at advantage to make it to the playoffs. I have the Clippers winning in six with Kawhi Leonard as Finals MVP once again.” –Arsal Hussain

Lakers over 76ers

“As long as no injuries occur, I believe the teams we will be watching in June will be the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers improved significantly and will be a defensive stalwart. As for the West, I could never bet against a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Until proven otherwise, James is the best player in the league pending health, and Davis is arguably a top two big man. When James makes the playoffs, we have seen him accomplish more with less talented teams. The West is wide open, and it could easily go about six different ways, but LeBron James is the difference. For that reason, the Los Angeles Lakers have my vote to win it all.” –Josh Gamel

Lakers over Bucks

“I think this year is the Milwaukee Bucks year to make the Finals and I’m not sure that any other Eastern Conference team will come close. Sadly, I don’t think the East is going to shock the world with a title again this year. I would love to put the Blazers in as the NBA Champs, but I just don’t think they are capable of taking it from the L.A. teams. It saddens me greatly, but I think the Lakers will be raising the banner next year with Anthony Davis hoisting the Finals MVP trophy.” –Kohl Rast

Nuggets over 76ers

“Nuggets vs 76ers, Nuggets win. If Jamal Murray makes another leap and Michael Porter Jr. pans out to be the player most think he can be, then the depth of the Nuggets will over take the 76ers. Even though the 76ers lost a few key players from last season, their new additions will fit better on their team and propel them to the finals.” –Charles Allen
