F. Sekou Doumbouya. 13. France. 110. .

The first international prospect to land on the draft board is yet another youngster from France who has combined length and size into a frame that many teams are very interested in. He is young and still raw, but has a ton of upside, much like Frank Ntilikina from the 2017 NBA Draft.

The Miami Heat are notorious for getting the guys that quietly do well in their roles and I think Doumbouya would flourish in that system. Spoelstra would know the best way to use the 18-year old to maximize his talents while also hopefully helping him maximize his talents going forward into his career.

The strengths for Sekou Doumbouya are definitely all about his size and length. Between his height, length and strength, Doumbouya looks like a potential elite defender for years to come. Pair that with the fact that he is only 18 years old and there will be some execs salivating at the thought of getting him on their team.

The strengths of Doumbouya on offense are primarily in transition, so his half court offense really needs a lot of help. His first few seasons will be all about developing a shot and learning how to get open in the half court for looks that he is comfortable with. He is very raw and relatively new to the game still.

Player Comparison: Al-Farouq Aminu

Aminu came into the league as a pretty raw player with high upside. His focus was originally on the defensive end because of his length and speed, but he was also able to develop a really reliable shot through his years in the league. That would be a dream scenario for Doumbouya who is already coming in as a potentially elite defender.
