The 2019 free agent crop features plenty of All-Stars. The Mavs will take plenty of shots at landing one of them.

One player they are rumored to be interested is Khris Middleton. The current Bucks wing was an All-Star for the first time in 2019. Fans can read more about the Mavericks interest here.

Here is the latest on what Middleton is expected to do this summer.

Staying in Milwaukee

Marc Stein joined the Ben and Skin Show on 105.3 The Fan on May 2 to drop the latest knowledge on the Mavericks. Fans can listen to the full interview here.

Stein states in the interview that Khris Middleton is expected to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks this summer. He even goes as far as saying Middleton is nearly “untouchable” on par with the likes of Klay Thompson and others.

Mavericks fans are going to be disappointed to hear that news. Middleton remains a fantastic fit with the team. He is an unselfish player that can score 20 points a game, play hard-nosed defense, and facilitate for others. Middleton’s ability to switch and play multiple positions is a massive selling point as well.

Do not close the book completely yet. Stein is one of the most respected reporters in the business, but there are no guarantees. Crazier things have happened. Players change their minds. The Mavs sales pitch could be strong enough to alter Middleton’s thinking. It appears unlikely, but there is still a chance Khris Middleton comes to Dallas this summer.

Final thoughts

According to Marc Stein, Khris Middleton is expected to stay with the Bucks. The Dallas Mavericks remain interested and will still make a push for him when free agency opens in July. Completing the signing appears unlikely, though.

Expect to hear plenty of rumors about the Mavericks interests over the coming months. The front office will improve the roster this summer. How and who they land are the things that will keep fans wondering at night.
