The dynamic matchup between Luka Doncic and Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell‘s young NBA career is a Disney movie waiting to happen 15 years from now. The success in Mitchell’s future will the be the deciding factor of NBA GMs losing their jobs (some already have)  in a few seasons. He was the underdog of the league last season.

Dallas has a star on its end as well.  However, Luka Doncic isn’t an underdog by any means, although he is a highlight reel darling, along with being an absolute stud to men and women alike. Think of him as a mix between Prince Charming and a youthful Leo before he went on his streak of hardcore movie roles.

Eat that underdog Disney movie plots.

On a serious note, there are some fun basketball moments to be had with these two stars in the making. It’ll be interesting if these two guards are fixated on each other defensively. It’s inevitable for them to lock on each other for at least a few possessions. Both players are dynamic in their respected ways.

The 2017-18 Rookie of the Year runner-up’s explosive nature on the court is a legitimate cause for worry for the heavily documented slower Luka. However, even with the clear advantage in athleticism, efficiency on the offensive end is not going in Mitchell’s favor thus far this season.

Luka doesn’t move with the speed of light, but despite his lack of agility, he gets where he wants for the most part and seizes opportunities like a chess player. There is still work to be done for the rookie, but regardless of some minor shortcomings, Luka’s crafty decisions keep this matchup close to the chest.
