20. Codi Miller-McIntyre

As much as I hate to say there was an obvious candidate for the bottom of the barrel on the Mavs roster, Codi Miller-McIntyre definitely fits the criteria. In fact, when he was signed by Dallas, it was pretty much general consensus that he would likely be the first cut from the team.

That is not to say that he isn’t talented or anything like that, he just has a long way to go before he will be ready for the big leagues. After a four-year career at Wake Forest that led to zero interest in the NBA, Miller-McIntyre went to play overseas in the Belgian League followed by the VTB United League in Russia.

Miller-McIntyre did well in both stops overseas, but has not caught the eyes of the NBA very much just yet. As a point guard on the Dallas Mavericks, this year is unlikely to be his big break into the NBA. Hopefully he does have more luck going forward, however.

19. Ding Yanyuhang

A crowd favorite from the moment he stepped on the court at the American Airlines Center, I think a lot of Mavs fans were hoping that he could find some way to snag the final roster spot. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like this is the year.

Ding Yanyuhang came from overseas to the Dallas Mavericks summer league team last year and immediately caught the eyes of the Mavs fans. After getting an invite to training camp this year, the Mavs may be hoping to keep the 25-year-old here in the system with the Texas Legends.

Either way, Ding will continue to be a fan favorite as he seeks for his chance in the NBA. That chance may not happen with the Mavs and it may not happen at all, but you can bet that we here in Dallas are hoping for his success.
