2. 40% from three-point

This would be an impressive feat at his advanced age, but it should not come as a surprise to most that this is entirely doable for Dirk. At 39 years old last year, Dirk Nowitzki shot over 40% from behind the arc. Even though he has only achieved that feat five times in his career, he has been over 39% for almost half of his career. Dirk is one of the best three-point shooters we have seen in this league and he is 7-feet tall.

For Dirk to achieve the 40% mark this year, I think that he will have to shoot better than he ever has. This is simply because I believe his volume of shooting will increase due to the new offensive weapons surrounding him. There will be no shortage of drive and kick opportunities with DSJ and Luka so Dirk will be able to fire at will from beyond the arc.

I also think that Dirk will be working more on his outside shot this summer. He knows that his days of backing guys down or catching in the post are mostly past him, so things from outside the three point line may be even more comfortable for him. It is really just amazing that he has been so incredible from three-point in his career.
