Arizona. 1. C. Deandre Ayton. 66. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

This pick has been pretty unanimous for weeks now and we do not see that changing at all in the final hours before the draft. Deandre Ayton is an incredible athlete with a mountain of potential, but we are a little concerned on whether he will grow into that or not. His strength is clearly on offense and he should make a clear impact immediately, but there are others in this draft who could easily be better players in the near future.

Even still, with that kind of potential, the pick makes sense for Phoenix.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. PF/C. Duke. Marvin Bagley III. 2. 84

Although Luka Doncic has been seen as the cream of the crop in this draft, the Sacramento Kings seem to be clinging on to Marvin Bagley III. For this reason we have the Kings selecting the big man out of Duke. This could potentially be a good fit for Sacramento alongside De’Aaron Fox and Bogdan Bogdanovic. From a scoring perspective, Bagley is perhaps the best in the draft this year, but his consistency from mid-range will be something he will need to improve on.

125. Scouting Report. G/F. Real Madrid. Luka Doncic. Pick Analysis. 3

Recent reports from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski suggest that the Atlanta Hawks have set their sights on Luka Doncic with the No. 3 pick. Although nothing is official until Adam Silver calls his name, a tweet from Woj is almost always ironclad. Doncic’s accolades are hard to ignore, especially at his age. Doncic can fit well with almost any team in the lottery, but with Atlanta the fit would be better than most.

Running teams through pick-and-rolls with Doncic and John Collins seems idyllic, and with Doncic’s hyper-accurate passing ability it won’t be hard for him to get his teammates involved.
