156. . . PG. Collin Sexton. 8

KOHL: I am a lot higher on Collin Sexton than most I think, but I really believe his game will translate well into the NBA. He is a very gifted athlete who can get to the rim well and really plays like many of the current star NBA point guards (Russell Westbrook, John Wall, Derrick Rose). He reminds me a little bit of what the Kings want De’Aaron Fox to become from his dominance in college. I am one of those who hopes Fox pans out.

Sexton is a very energetic player who plays with tenacity every time he steps on the court. He attacks the basket well and averaged an impressive 19.2 points per game despite not having a super serviceable jump shot. He shot barely 33% from three-point during his one year at Alabama.

People still doubt that his game will translate to the NBA, which is fair because the defense is a whole different level up there. That said, he is athletically gifted enough to make it work. The thing he will really need to improve on is his playmaking ability outside of creating for himself. As an NBA-level point guard, he will need to be averaging more than 3.6 assists per game.

I think that Sexton will be a great fit in Cleveland who will love having a slasher and scorer like Sexton. He would do well working with LeBron James (if he is still there). This would give him the chance to become a more rounded teammate as well as get his chance to be a key supporting player. These are all very important.
