1.) Ian Mahinmi

With money to spend and no sit down meeting with Kevin Durant, the Washington Wizards went out and handed Ian Mahinmi a four-year, $64 million dollar deal this summer where he would be making right at $16 million this season.

So far, it hasn’t turned out like Washington had envisioned as the big man has only played in five games this season due to injury. Playing in his second game of the season just two weeks ago, Mahinmi now finds himself coming off the bench where he logs 13-15 minutes a game for the Wizards.

Mahinmi, who played 117 games for Dallas earlier in his career, is 30 years old and still provides an energetic force on both ends of the court when healthy. But with Washington rising up the standings in the East without him, combined with his high cap number going forward, the Wizards could be looking to unload his contract at a price.

Washington owns all of their future first round draft picks and could package one with Mahinmi for a team to take the contract off their books as they look to pay big money for Otto Porter Jr. this summer and John Wall in the near future.

Dallas could send a package headlined around Andrew Bogut and Devin Harris that would net them another first round pick at the cost of taking on Mahinmi.
