With the trade deadline quickly approaching, the Dallas Mavericks have already been tied into trade rumors for several players across the league this season.

Dallas has been in trade rumors for Dorian Finney-Smith and Isaiah Stewart, but a couple more players got added to this list over the last few weeks that could be big enough additions to push the Mavs to the top of the Western Conference.

One star forward that Dallas has shown interest in trading for is Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors. Siakam is someone who is "expected" to be traded before the trade deadline, but it looks as if the Mavs aren't as "viable" of a destination as originally expected.

Along with Siakam, the Mavs have also shown rumored interest in trading for Jerami Grant of the Portland Trail Blazers. Dallas played Portland twice over the last week, and Grant scored 28 points over these two games. This also isn't the first time that the Mavs have shown interest in a trade for Grant.

Despite Dallas showing interest in Grant, according to Shams Charania on the latest episode of "Run It Back," the Mavs are getting a sense that his "price tag might be a little too steep."

This season for Portland, Grant is averaging 21.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game while shooting 42 percent from downtown. He would be a great addition to the Mavericks' frontcourt, but his reported high asking price and big contract are concerning.

Grant is in year one of a five-year, $160 million deal, and this contract could quickly become a bad one if he doesn't fit in well in Dallas. Combine this with his rumored high asking price, and he doesn't seem like the best fit as someone that Dallas will make a move for.

The Mavs seem more likely to make a move for someone who won't force them to cough up so many assets. Dallas has made massive blockbusters over the last two seasons, but that trend may end this year.

A Jerami Grant trade to Dallas isn't impossible, but Portland may have to lower their asking price if they want the Mavs to play ball.

For all the latest news and rumors on the Dallas Mavericks as the trade deadline approaches, stay tuned.
