After last night's loss to the Boston Celtics, the Dallas Mavericks have one day off before playing the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.

The Mavs remain involved in continuous trade rumors around the league, including reportedly being interested in Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington.

Dallas wants to upgrade at the power forward position, and Mavs owner Mark Cuban recently revealed the exact type of frontcourt player that they want to trade for.

On The Ben and Skin Show, Cuban said. "If we can get a big who can also create off the dribble, that’d be a plus. Six-eight or bigger." Dallas wants a frontcourt player who can create for themselves or others off the dribble and wants them to have some size.

Dallas currently doesn't roster this type of player on their roster, and the first two that come to mind that the Mavs have reportedly shown interest in are Deni Avdija of the Washington Wizards and the previously mentioned Washington of the Hornets.

This season for the Wizards, Avdija is averaging 12.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 0.9 steals per game. He also happens to be 6-foot-9, and his ability to create for himself and others could intrigue the Mavs. Avdija would likely become a starter in Dallas, and he would add a unique offensive piece next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Washington is another player who can score off the dribble, but he may not have as good of point-forward potential as Avdija does. This season for the Hornets, Washington is averaging 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game.

Washington has more defensive versatility than Avdija does, and his ability to play the four or five is an attractive asset.

It's unclear which direction that the Mavs will go at the deadline, but Cuban did make it clear of what type of player they want.

For all the latest on Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks this season, stay tuned.
