Should the Dallas Mavericks acquire Caris LeVert?
The Mavs need to add talent to their roster, but they should avoid paying a premium to acquire LeVert. Dallas must acquire another playmaker and scorer, but the current Pacers wing struggles to space the floor. LeVert has connected on just 33.2 percent of his 217 catch and shoot 3-point attempts since the start of the 2019-2020 season.
The 27-year-old has a lengthy injury history to worry about as well. Mavs fans get frustrated when Kristaps Porzingis is forced to miss time, and the Unicorn has played in 14 more games than Caris LeVert since the start of the 2019-2020 season.
If the Mavericks are calling the Pacers, they should be asking about Myles Turner over LeVert. Adding a center that can protect the rim, rebound, space the floor would be a massive boost in Dallas. LeVert would be an upgrade, but his lack of shooting and injury history would be concerns.
The Dallas Mavericks should be active and aggressive during trade season. Talks are heating up around the league, and there will be plenty of rumors flying around leading up to Feb. 10.
