The Dallas Mavericks are back and ready to start a new season as things open up with media day. The regular-season opener is less than a month away as the Mavs will travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks on Oct. 21 to kick things off. It will be their first season under new head coach Jason Kidd, and Dallas has plenty to work to do before things count.

The Mavs were hoping to add a big-name free agent this offseason, but they could not secure the signature. Instead, they picked up Reggie Bullock, Sterling Brown, Frank Ntilikina, and Moses Brown to round out their roster. They also re-signed Tim Hardaway Jr. and Boban Marjanovic, plus inked a rookie max extension with superstar Luka Doncic. Dallas improve their roster and is hoping to win a playoff series for the first time since taking home the title in 2011.

Fans should be watching the Mavericks closely during training camp and their four preseason games because changes are on the horizon. Dallas has 16 guaranteed contracts entering camp and will have to trim one before opening night. There are also multiple position battles to watch, but that is far from the only thing.
