Texas Legends storyline for Mavericks fans to follow: 1. What offense will they run?

This is a very thought-provoking storyline since George Galanopoulos is in his third season as head coach with the Legends. Usually, when there's a new head coach for an NBA franchise, he will sit down with the G League staff and discuss what kind of offense he wants them to run.

For example, think of how a JV and varsity high school basketball team works. Both teams run a similar offense, so that way if a JV player needs to fill in for the varsity, everyone is on the same page on the floor.

After observing some Texas Legends games, it seems like Galanopoulos is a type of coach that likes to attack the basket, instead of setting up 3-pointers as Kidd does. It will be interesting to see if he adopts a similar offensive style to the Hall of Fame point guard this year.

It is not unusual to see an NBA team and its G League affiliate run the same kind of offense, but will fans witness that in Frisco this season? Stay tuned to find out this coming Friday as they are on the road against the Lakeland Magic.
