The Dallas Mavericks G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, start their 2021-2022 season on November 5th against the Lakeland Magic. Players such as Moses Brown and Gary Trent Jr. began their NBA careers in Frisco with the Legends.

The G League is the NBA's minor league system, where young players have a chance to get minutes, improve as a player, and attempt to earn their way into a rotation. G League rosters are made up of two-way players, affiliate players, G League draft picks, local tryout picks, and returning players.

This is the first time in two years that the Legends will be playing after they opted out of the G League bubble in 2021. A lot has changed since the Legends last took the court, including the league expanding and the creation of the G League Ignite.

3 Texas Legends storylines to follow for Dallas Mavericks fans

The Legends have some fan favorites such as Yudai Baba and hometown hero Brandon Fields returning to the squad this season. They will also have some new faces like Feron Hunt and Carlik Jones, who will be making their Legends debuts.

Fans should also get to see plenty of Eugene Omoruyi and JaQuori McLaughlin in Frisco. They are the Mavs two two-way players this season. Omoruyi popped during the Las Vegas Summer League and could be a key contributor for the Legends this season.

Here are three storylines for Dallas Mavericks fans to keep an eye on as the Texas Legends kick off their season on Friday night.
