Takeaway from Dallas Mavericks preseason game vs. Clippers: 1. Luka magic
Luka Doncic was outstanding in the first preseason game, and he kept up the hot streak on Friday night. The 22-year-old superstar only played in the first half for the second straight game, but he still managed to finish with 14 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, and one steals in 18 minutes of action. He was five of 11 from the field and sank two 3-pointers.
Doncic kept up the highlights too, including this beauty in the first quarter.
Luka is in shape and ready for the regular season. He has his jumper locked in and is enjoying the additional movement in the Mavericks offense under head coach Jason Kidd. Doncic has played off the ball more during the first two preseason games, and it will be interesting to see how much that carries over to the regular season. Fans can be sure that Luka Doncic is going to have a monster season as he figures to be in the thick of the MVP race throughout.
The Dallas Mavericks are back in action on Oct. 13 as they travel to Charlotte to face the Hornets. It will be the team’s third of four preseason games and a fantastic tune-up for their regular-season opener on Oct. 21 in Atlanta, so do not miss it.
