Dallas Mavericks stud from win over shorthanded Pelicans: 2. Tim Hardaway Jr.

Hardaway Jr. had his shot locked in on Monday night against New Orleans. He made four of his five 3-point tries and was six of nine from the field overall to give him 17 points. THJ also chipped in six rebounds and four assists as the Mavericks outscored the Pelicans by 11 in his 33 minutes on the floor.

It has been a slow start to the 2021-2022 season from Hardaway Jr. as he has produced three single-digit scoring games and was shooting under 40 percent from the field coming into Monday’s contest.

Fans know THJ is an important scorer and shot creator for Dallas, and he finally looks to be finding his rhythm. He has produced 16 or more points in four of the last five games, and he has made 15 3-pointers over that stretch.

Nov. 8 was just the third time in the first ten games that Tim Hardaway Jr. shot over 50 percent from the field, and hopefully, it is the start of a hot streak for the 6’5 wing. The Dallas Mavericks already have seven wins, but still have not seen the best from THJ. Fans should be watching his performance closely on Wednesday in Chicago.
