Dallas Mavericks stud from home win over Celtics: 1. Luka Doncic

Luka finally had that jaw-dropping moment that fans have been waiting for to start the 2021-2022 season. It took nine games, but Doncic delivered. He was incredible on Saturday night, and the 22-year-old superstar capped it off with a game-winning buzzer-beater.

Luka’s was just the second game-winning buzzer-beater of the young season, and it was the third of Doncic's career. The Mavs have only had 26 of them in their franchise history, and the 22-year-old superstar owns three. Dirk Nowitzki had just three in his 21-year career.

The buzzer-beater was just the capper to an incredible performance as Luka finished with 33 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and one block against the Celtics. He shot 12 of 21 from the field, five of ten on his threes, and a perfect four of four on his free throws, despite the Celtics picking him up full-court and trying to force the ball out of his hands for the entire second half.

Luka Doncic reminded us all why he is so unique on Nov. 6. It was an unbelievable and otherworldly performance from the 22-year-old that lifted the Dallas Mavericks to their sixth win in nine games on the season, and the best is still yet to come from this team.
