Dallas Mavericks stud in home opening win over Rockets: 1. Luka Doncic
The numbers may seem like a typical Luka line, but the 22-year-old superstar put on a show against the Rockets in the Mavericks home opener. He hit several impossible floaters, but this pass to Kristaps Porzingis for a 3-pointer takes the cake as his play of the night.
Luka was the team’s engine as he finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block. He was ten of 25 from the field and made all five of his free throws. The Mavericks outscored Houston by 15 points in his 34 minutes on the floor on Tuesday night.
Doncic was not going to let Dallas lose their home opener as he had two key buckets in the final three minutes to keep the Rockets from getting too close. He has had back-to-back strong performances as the Mavs have won two of their first three.
Luka Doncic will look to build on that on Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs. The Dallas Mavericks will again be heavy favorites, but can they make it two straight wins at the American Airlines Center? Be sure to tune in and find out.
