New Mavs head coach Jason Kidd decided to play all 15 players in the team’s home opener. He started it with Boban Marjanovic and Jalen Brunson entering midway through the opening quarter and put in Frank Ntilikina to cap everyone getting on the floor.
The Rockets never gave up and played hard and fast throughout the game. Dallas was just a bit too much, but it took a total team effort from the Mavericks, especially after Kristaps Porzingis suffered a back injury in the third quarter that kept him out of the remainder of the game.
Dallas had several strong performances in the home opener, including Boban in his first action of the season. The 7’4 big man had 11 points in nine minutes.
