The Dallas Mavericks suffered a disappointing loss against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, and they wanted nothing more than to bounce back against the San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 12. Superstar Luka Doncic did not play his best in Chicago, and fans knew he was going to put on a show on Friday night.

It was the third meeting between the two teams on the young season. The Mavs won the first two, but they needed an outstanding performance from Jalen Brunson to grab a victory the opening time in San Antonio. Gregg Popovich’s team always puts up a fight on their home floor.

Dallas played arguably their best game of the 2021-2022 season on Nov. 12 as they dominated the San Antonio Spurs 123-109. Luka Doncic had his first triple-double of the year, but he was far from the only Maverick that stood out. Who else made an impact?

Jalen Brunson kept it going on Friday night as he finished with 17 points on six of 13 shooting from the field. The Mavs outscored the Spurs by 20 points in his 27 minutes of action in San Antonio.

It was an incredible overall defensive performance from the Mavericks as they shut down the Spurs on their home floor. Dallas had nine steals and eight blocks on Friday night as they held San Antonio to 22 or less in two of the four quarters.

Here is a look at three Dallas Mavericks that stood out and one who struggled in the team’s third of the 2021-2022 season over the San Antonio Spurs.
