The Dallas Mavericks won all four games they played this preseason and outscored their opponents by 97 points in an impressive exhibition start to the Jason Kidd era. The Hall of Fame point guard has the team playing with energy and confidence as they look to take another step forward this season.

More impressively, the Mavs did not have their full rotation in any preseason contest. They took a staggered resting approach which helped them stay fully healthy ahead of their Oct. 21 regular season opener on the road against the Atlanta Hawks. Health and added confidence could be massive for the team during the 2021-2022 campaign.

Luka Doncic and the Mavericks were impressive this preseason, but not every player looks ready to hit the ground running in the regular season. Here are four players who appear set for Thursday’s opener and one that does not.

Overall, the team appears ready for a fast start. The Mavs are moving the ball under coach Kidd and have increased the aggressiveness on the defensive end of the floor. The results were fantastic during the preseason, but will they carry over?

Tim Hardaway Jr. looks ready for a monster season, and Maxi Kleber appears to be healthy and set to make a massive impact off the bench. Neither player made this list because the Mavs were so good this preseason.
