Ranking Dallas Mavericks from least to most untouchable
The Mavs 2020 first-round draft pick joins two key defenders in the top eight of the Mavs most untouchable player rankings.
8. Josh Green
New Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has talked on several occasions about his excitement for the chance to develop Green. The 20-year-old has shown flashes on both ends of the floor but has never been able to earn consistent minutes.
Green figures to be part of the package if Dallas can acquire a significant upgrade because they will need young talented pieces to entice the other team into making the deal.
7. Reggie Bullock
Bullock joined the Mavs this offseason on a three-year deal worth $30 million. The 30-year-old has a strong reputation as a 3-and-D wing, and Dallas lacked options against the Clippers in the playoffs. He missed time this preseason dealing with a personal issue, but fans should expect Bullock to play a key role this season.
6. Maxi Kleber
Kleber’s unique ability to space the floor, protect the rim, and defend on the perimeter makes him a desirable option for any contender. The Mavericks have used him on Kawhi Leonard in the playoffs. Kleber needs to stay healthy this season, but Dallas has no plans on parting with the 6’10 forward unless they are acquiring a star talent.
