Dallas Mavericks player most likely to be traded at 2022 deadline: 3. Moses Brown

The Mavs acquired Moses Brown in the Josh Richardson trade with the Boston Celtics, and the 22-year-old big man has shown flashes of his tantalizing upside in Dallas. The 7’2 big man is raw, but he could be a starting center that provides energy, rebounding, rim protection, and a lob target.

Brown has struggled to crack the Mavericks rotation. He had not played since Jan. 12 before getting some fourth-quarter minutes in the blowout win over the Pistons on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old struggles on the defensive end, and can be played off the floor by a mobile floor-spacing big man or big center capable of bullying in the post.

Moses Brown is the perfect trade target for a rebuilding team. He has the potential to blossom into a starting center, and he needs minutes to reach his ceiling. Brown is likely to help a team improve their lottery position, while he grows with playing time. It is a win-win for the team acquiring the 22-year-old big man.

Will the Dallas Mavericks find a deal before Thursday’s deadline? Do not be surprised to see a rebuilding team look to sell a veteran rotation piece for Brown and a draft pick.
