Is the Dallas Mavericks leadership council a good idea?

The Mavs leadership council has been a good idea so far. It has allowed new head coach Jason Kidd to build that trust and accountability with his three best players quickly. All three have a bit of added confidence as they are involved in the team’s decision-making process.

Fans can question playing all 15 players in the home opener or starting Dwight Powell, but the Mavericks have won two of their first three games under a new head coach while still figuring out the schemes. It has been a positive start, and Kidd is still working out the rotations. He needs time to figure out who plays well together and how to best run things.

Fans should be watching and listening to learn more about the Dallas Mavericks leadership council, and how much power they ultimately have in making decisions.
