5 players Mavericks can trade away on December 15

Dallas Mavericks player that can be traded away on Dec. 15: 2. Sterling Brown
Brown has struggled in his first 20 games with the Mavs. He signed a two-year $6 million deal in the offseason after shooting 42.3 percent from 3-point range last season in Houston. The Mavericks love to put shooters around Luka Doncic, and the 26-year-old should just be entering his prime.
Brown is playing a career-low 12.8 minutes per game and is just 11 of 40 from 3-point range to start his time with the Mavericks. The 6’5 wing has shown flashes but has been inconsistent. There are games where he goes unnoticed on the floor, and coach Kidd has limited him to fewer than ten minutes on five different occasions.
Brown’s play should improve, but the Mavs front office needs to be willing to include him in any deal that brings back an impactful rotation piece, especially if it plugs a hole on their roster.
Teams can never have too many wings on their roster in the playoffs, but Dallas needs to add another playmaker and ball-handler. If the cost is sacrificing wing depth, the Mavericks need to pay that price to upgrade their roster.
Hopefully, Sterling Brown starts knocking down shots and becomes a key part of the team’s rotation moving forward.
