The Dallas Mavericks have lost seven of their last nine games, and they are struggling to find their footing. It all started when superstar Luka Doncic missed three games after spraining his ankle and knee, but things only slightly improved with the 22-year-old in the lineup. He missed the team’s last game, which pushed the Mavs to 11-11 on the campaign.

If the regular season ended today, the Mavericks would be in the play-in tournament as the seventh seed. Their goal was to build a title contender around Luka, but they are on pace for a third straight first-round playoff exit.

The Mavericks' recent play has exposed some holes in their roster, including a lack of offensive creation, shot-making, and defense. They should be exploring the market for upgrades, but it is difficult to make a deal before Dec. 15. Here is a look at why before ranking the five Mavs who could be traded on that day by the likelihood they will get dealt.

Free agents that sign during the offseason cannot be traded for three months, and that restriction applies until Dec. 15. The trade market is murky until that date because of the sheer number of players that cannot be moved because it limits teams ability to match salaries in a deal.

The Dallas Mavericks have five players that currently have a trade restriction, but they will all be lifted on Wednesday the 15th. Here is a closer look at who the Mavs can deal.
