Adjustment Dallas Mavericks must make in Game 2 vs. Warriors: 1. Aggressive Luka

Luka Doncic admitted in his postgame presser that he has to play better. The Mavericks superstar had 18 first-half points on five of 12 shooting before scoring just two second-half points and committing six turnovers. Golden State slowed him on the offensive end of the floor and attacked him in nearly every pick and roll defensively.

Expect Doncic to come out firing in Game 2. Dallas needs him to get downhill and attack the rim. Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Looney kept number 77 from getting all the way to the rim on isolation plays on Wednesday night.

The Mavericks need to attack weaker defenders in Game 2. They should be looking to get Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole switched onto Doncic. The 23-year-old superstar is one of the best players in the league at hunting mismatches. Yes, Golden State did well avoiding them in Game 1, but expect Doncic to be in his bag on Friday night.

Luka must be more aggressive on the defensive end of the floor too. Expect to see him showing and recovering on screens and just more locked in defensively. Dallas needs Doncic at his best on both ends of the floor if they want to win at the Chase Center.
