Who should make the Dallas Mavericks regular season roster?

The Mavs brass has a few difficult decisions to make, and they could be exploring the trade market as fans read this to eliminate their roster crunch.

Trey Burke is the most NBA-ready role player on the team’s roster bubble, and he provides much-needed shot creation, but the team has repeatedly said they want to be 100 percent vaccinated leaving Burke with the option. He made it public that he is “declining” the vaccine, which likely sees him waived.

The final decision comes down to what new general manager Nico Harrison and head coach Jason Kidd think about Tyrell Terry and his potential. If the new additions to the Mavs decision-making hierarchy do not believe he will be a rotation player in two years, they could cut him and promote Eugene Omoruyi to the 15-man roster. The new brass could be believers in Terry and keep both players under their current deals.
