Dallas Mavericks that impressed in loss to Suns: 2. Frank Ntilikina

Head coach Jason Kidd trusted Ntilikina to handle the ball a bit with Luka Doncic out of the lineup, and the French Prince delivered in Phoenix. He had his jumper locked in on Nov. 17, and fans can see his improved shot below.

Ntilikina finished with 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 18 minutes of action. He was five of eight from the field, including making all three of his 3-pointers.

The 23-year-old is known for his defense, but he has now connected on 13 of his 31 threes so far for the Mavericks. It is a small sample size, but that is 41.9 percent. Ntilikina has earned a place in the rotation, and if he keeps knocking down shots, his role could grow as the season progresses.

The French Prince has increased confidence and continues to play well. Dallas needed someone to step up in the bench unit with Doncic out, and Frank Ntilikina delivered a strong performance featuring a season-high in scoring. His defense is important, but being able to knock down jumpers takes his game to another level. It is something to monitor as the season progresses.
