Luka Doncic has a chance to prove he is top 5 player in the league at All-Star weekend

Luka was disrespected in this year’s All-Star voting. Yes, he got off to a slow start by his incredible standards, but Doncic was already turning it around by the time voting opened. It didn’t matter. Fans, players, and media all preferred Stephen Curry and Ja Morant over the Mavericks superstar. Devin Booker also outranked him in the player’s vote, and Doncic got zero votes to open the game from the media.

Luka is a transcendent talent and future inner-circle Hall of Famer. He is one of the five best players in the world right now, and he got zero consideration to start the game because Ja Morant had an incredible five months. Imagine if LeBron James or Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant got off to a slow start. Would they not be voted in as starters anyways?

Luka Doncic wants to prove he belongs in that tier. The no-doubt starter without even looking at the numbers, and he has a chance to do so in Cleveland. He has scored just eight points in each of his first two All-Star games, but number 77 needs to put on a show this year to prove that he is an unstoppable force and one of the league’s best players.
