Dallas Mavericks might make a trade during the 2022 NBA Draft

Adrian Wojnarowski told fans to expect a lot of trades on ESPN’s NBA Draft Preview, which aired on June 22. Cap space is limited across the league, so most teams are forced to make their largest upgrades through the trade market. That means having talks and making deals, and there is no better night to do that than during the draft.

Fans saw another deal on Wednesday evening as Jerami Grant was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers for a 2025 first-round pick and a second-round pick swap this year, but that is likely just the beginning.

Rumors suggest that the Mavericks are looking to acquire a draft pick. They could buy into the second round or make a trade to get a selection. Dallas needs to find a trade partner and the right deal, but fans know general manager and president of basketball operations Nico Harrison is actively working the phones.

MFFLs certainly do not want to miss the Dallas Mavericks' latest trade, and it could go down on Thursday night. They could acquire a pick or get involved in a multi-team deal that lets them pick up another veteran. Everything is on the table as the Mavs look to upgrade their roster.
