Trade Dallas Mavericks should consider before the deadline: 3. Acquire Bogey

The Detroit Pistons are firmly in the race for Victor Wembanyama with Cade Cunningham out for the season, and Bojan Bogdanovic is on the trade block. The Mavs are rumored to be interested, and here is a deal that could bring the talented 6’7 forward to Dallas.

The Pistons are rebuilding, so flipping Bogdanovic for a first-round pick should be their goal. They acquired him before the season for Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee. Trading him just months later for a draft pick could be massive. If Detroit attempts to get into the playoffs next season, they could flip the first-rounder for additional talent.

Bogdanovic is in the middle of arguably the best season of his career. He is averaging 21.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game on 48.6 percent shooting from the field and 41.8 percent on his threes. The 33-year-old is a versatile defender that would help the Mavericks on both ends of the floor.

There is plenty of interest in Bojan Bogdanovic, so the Dallas Mavericks may have to increase their offer before the Feb. 9 deadline if they want to land the talented forward. The Detroit Pistons asking price is through the roof right now, but it will decrease as the deadline draws near. Bogdanovic is certainly a player to watch heading into Feb. 9.
