Can the Dallas Mavericks trade for Bojan Bogdanovic?

Bogdanovic figures to be the most targeted player left on the Utah Jazz. The 6’7 forward was impressive on both ends of the floor in the first round of the playoffs against the Mavs, and he was arguably their best player in that series. He averages 18 points per game while spacing the floor and playing stout defense.

Every contending team would benefit from adding Bogdanovic, and the 33-year-old is on a $19.55 million expiring contract. There are zero downsides to trading for him.

The Mavericks have to outbid the competition to acquire Bojan Bogdanovic. He has already been linked to the Suns and Lakers, and the suitors do not stop there. The Heat and Sixers seem like logical fits, and every bidders drives up the price.

Would one unprotected first-round pick be enough? Is another team willing to give up one first and a second? Does a young talent get thrown in to convince Danny Ainge and the Jazz to say yes? Those are all questions that will be answered in the coming weeks.

Does Bogdanovic upgrade the Dallas Mavericks enough that he is worth trading a first-round pick? He certainly makes them better, but likely not enough to seriously contend for the championship this season.
