Player Dallas Mavericks could still trade for this offseason: 3. Terrence Ross
The Orlando Magic have a bit of a logjam in the backcourt. Jalen Suggs has the look of a future star and the 2021 fifth overall pick should be among the leading minute's getters for the Magic this season. Former Mavericks assistant and new Orlando head coach Jamahl Mosley needs to find plenty of time for Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony. The Magic also have Terrence Ross, Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton, and Michael Carter-Williams fighting for minutes in the backcourt.
The rebuilding Magic should be willing to part with Ross if the price is right. The 30-year-old is a proven scorer and shooter that would help any contender. He is willing to come off the bench and has no issues creating shots.
The Dallas Mavericks need another ball-handler and shot creator. Ross is not going to find teammates, but he will get buckets. He would thrive as the Mavs sixth man and could still play next to Luka Doncic for stretches.
The 30-year-old has 41 games of playoff experience and is hungry to get back. He has two years and $24 million remaining on his contract. Ross will be sought after if the Magic make him available. Do not be surprised to see Orlando attempt to clear the logjam at some point this season. Will it be before training camp? Stay tuned.
