Friday’s loss was so disappointing because Dallas had a 19-point lead and Luka Doncic went for 42 points on 12 of 23 shooting from the field. The Mavericks had Golden State on the ropes, but they could not finish off the win.

Dallas also needs to do a better job at limiting Kevon Looney’s easy buckets. He had a career-high 21 points in Game 2 as he just slips past the defense to score at the rim.
