Dallas Mavericks dud in home win over Spurs: 1. Tim Hardaway Jr.

The Mavs needed Hardaway Jr. to step up his scoring with Kristaps Porzingis on the sidelines, but it was an off night for the 6’5 wing. He just could not find his shot, and the team struggled on the defensive end when he was on the floor.

THJ finished with just six points on two of eight shooting the field. He did have five rebounds and three assists, but the Mavericks were outscored by 23 points in his 32 minutes of action on Oct. 28.

There is no takeaway from Tim Hardaway’s performance against the Spurs. It was an off night, and the Mavericks still found a way to win. It took an incredible second half from Luka Doncic and the four bench players dominating, but the Mavs were happy to escape victorious, especially after their putrid start to the contest.

Tim Hardaway Jr. will not have to wait to flush his poor performance as the Dallas Mavericks face the Nuggets in Denver on Friday evening. Expect THJ to have a bounce-back game as Luka Doncic and the Mavs will likely try to get him a few easy shots in the early going. Fans know it only takes one make to get Hardaway Jr. fired up.
