Dallas Mavericks updated starting lineup, depth chart after Justin Holiday signing

Dallas Mavericks updated point guard depth chart with Justin Holiday
There is little debate about who plays at this position. Head coach Jason Kidd will stagger the minutes between Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Expect the Mavericks superstar duo to play all 48 minutes at the point guard spot, and fans have seen glimpses of how special they can be in their first two games together.
Starter: Luka Doncic
Luka and Kyrie are still figuring out how to play together. It was clear in the final possession of the team’s loss to the Timberwolves on Feb. 13. The superstars passed each other the ball several times before Irving turned it over with just seconds remaining. Things will get better. No team wants to face Luka in the playoffs, and they are dreading the matchup with Kyrie in Dallas.
Backup: McKinley Wright IV
Kyrie starts at the two, and Wright IV is the only other point guard on the Mavs roster. The 24-year-old is on a two-way contract, but he has impressed when given consistent minutes. Wright IV plays hard. He averaged 5.0 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game over a recent five-game stretch.
McKinley Wright IV needs to keep working on his game, but there have been positive signs for the two-way guard that should earn him a roster spot somewhere next season.
