Re-signing Kyrie Irving is the Dallas Mavericks' top priority this summer.

Owner Mark Cuban has already said it, and everyone around the organization seems to want him back. His teammates love him, and Theo Pinson has already speculated that he thinks the superstar point guard will be back next season. The 31-year-old is an unrestricted free agent, and the franchise has to find a way to re-sign him.

Dallas was finally able to pair another superstar with Luka Doncic, now they just have to keep him. Irving is expected to demand an expensive multi-year contract, but that's something that Dallas understands. The Mavs traded for him for the potential of keeping him in Dallas long-term and building around him and Doncic.

Dallas Mavericks rumors: Kyrie Irving drops a hint of his next team on social media

Irving is an unrestricted free agent this summer and can sign wherever he pleases. He owes nothing to Dallas and will sign with a team that gives him a large contract and that he feels comfortable playing for. He has already said that he's "at peace"  (subscription required) in Dallas, but will his peace be enough for the Mavs to convince him to return?

This question will be answered in a few short months, but Irving may have dropped a hint about his plans on social media on April 25.

Twitter detectives went to work on Tuesday night and realized that Irving followed the Mavericks on Twitter. This is something that typically gets brought up during free agency as players unfollow and follow potential suitors, but it's a positive for the Mavericks that it's the latter rather than the former.

Dallas can't afford to let two star point guards walk in consecutive summers, and will likely do whatever it takes to ensure that Irving is a Dallas Maverick next season. Losing Jalen Brunson was a stab in the heart for the organization and they won't want to feel that pain again.

Stay tuned to see if Dallas Mavericks can re-sign Kyrie Irving this summer or if he decides to play elsewhere. The offseason rumors are just starting to heat up, so please check back for all the latest on Kyrie and his upcoming free agency.
