The Dallas Mavericks reached the Western Conference Finals before being knocked out by the Golden State Warriors. Things ended in disappointing fashion as the Dubs dominated the series to reach their sixth NBA Finals in eight years, but that should do nothing to take away from what the Mavs accomplished. They won their first playoff series since 2011 and proved they are going to be a postseason force for years to come.

Their postseason run shines a brighter spotlight on this offseason. Dallas is just a few pieces away from becoming serious title contenders, but they will be limited in what moves they can make as Luka Doncic and Dorian Finney-Smith both have extensions starting next season. The Mavs are projected to be in the tax before re-signing soon-to-be free agent Jalen Brunson.
