Prediction for Dallas Mavericks acquisition Reggie Bullock: Top 5 in 3-point percentage

The Mavs prime acquisition of the offseason was signing Bullock to a three-year deal worth $30.0 million. He was a starter and key piece of the Knicks reaching the playoffs in 2021 where Bullock averaged 10.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 30.0 minutes per game.

The 6’6 wing gives the Mavericks a dynamic 3-and-D option. Bullock spent plenty of time guarding Trae Young in the playoffs last season, and he will not shy away from any assignment. The Mavs need his perimeter defense and shot-making to continue climbing the Western Conference standings.

Bullock is arguably one of the best shooters in the league. He connected on 41.0 percent of his 389 3-point attempts last season, which ranked 32nd in the NBA. In the 2017-2018 season, Bullock hit 44.5 percent to finish second behind only Darren Collison.

Playing on the wing next to Luka Doncic has done wonders for Tim Hardaway’s shooting efficiency, and Reggie Bullock capitalizes too. He shoots over 45 percent and finishes in the top five in 3-point percentage this season.
