The Dallas Mavericks are quickly approaching their 2021-2022 regular-season opener against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks, and the upcoming year will look a little different for the team. With a new general manager, a fresh head coach in Jason Kidd, and a brand new coaching staff, the Mavs hope to bring a change in team culture.

Dallas has also added some rotation players that should help their on-court play as well as kept sharpshooter Tim Hardaway Jr. and fan-favorite big man Boban Marjanovic in free agency. Needless to say, there are some exciting new ventures for the Mavericks this season.

Adding to the new developments, the Mavs have a fresh court for the new year featuring a unique twist that fans saw in the team's second preseason game. Here is a closer look.

Dallas Mavericks honor players with new court

The Dallas Mavericks have added the name of every player who has ever played a game for the franchise on the baseline and sidelines of this new court design. Fans can get a glimpse below.

Fans can see Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, and Luka Doncic, among other names in the photos. Every supporter has a list of personal favorite Mavericks that will be a joy to find on the new court. For me, seeing Devin Harris' name will bring a smile, but with the good also comes the bad.

There are bound to be some names on the new court design that will be less than appealing to see written alongside the legends who have worn the iconic Mavericks jerseys on the hardwood floor of Union Arena and the American Airlines Center.

There has certainly been a fair share of players who have not rocketed to the top of personal favorite players among MFFL's. Let us take a quick look at the four players that fans do not want to see on the new court.
