After Saturday afternoon's 146-111 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks fans are excited due to the potential of this new-look roster.

Although Dallas only gained two new players in Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington, they also lost three players. Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and Richaun Holmes were traded on Thursday, meaning that Dallas has an open roster spot.

They will likely look to fill this open spot on the buyout market, and they've already been linked to a former fan-favorite guard.

Dallas was one of the first teams linked to Spencer Dinwiddie, but he plans to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers as of Saturday morning. The Mavs still have a need at the backup point guard spot, but they could also look to add more wing depth with their final roster spot.

There are a couple of good options on the wing on the buyout market, and one of those options happens to be former Philadelphia 76ers forward Marcus Morris. Morris was traded twice on Thursday, and he is someone the Mavs could show interest in once he clears waivers.

Dallas is already the betting favorite to land him, and one of the Mavs veterans would be particularly happy if the Mavs made this move.

Mavs veteran forward Markieff Morris, the twin brother of Marcus Morris, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the Mavs possibly signing his brother, and it's clear he'd welcome this move.

Markieff hasn't played much in Dallas this season, but it could be a different story if they sign Marcus. Marcus is better offensively than Markieff, and his toughness and physicality could intrigue Dallas.

It's clear that the Mavs still need a backup point guard, but if they decide to add more wing depth, Marcus Morris could be the best option.

For all the latest on Markieff Morris and the Dallas Mavericks, stay tuned.
