Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is the team’s biggest fan, but he officially has a new team to cheer for as he became the owner of a franchise in the VIBE Pickleball League on Nov. 3. The expansion league will feature six teams in a sport that is exploding in popularity.

LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Draymond recently made headlines by investing in pickleball, but they are a part of Major League Pickleball. Cuban’s ownership is in a rival league as the sport attempts to gain more national recognition.

What will Cuban’s team look like? The VIBE Pickleball League is set to have an expansion draft in December, and the first season will take place next year on a schedule to be announced at a later date.
