Key for Dallas Mavericks vs. Warriors in West Finals: 1. Luka Doncic

If the Mavericks are going to win their third series this postseason, Luka Doncic will be at the center of the action. He is coming off one of the best Game 7 performances in recent memory where he stole the souls of the Phoenix Suns. Doncic showed from the opening minute that he was not going to let Dallas lose that game, and it resulted in one of the worst Game 7 blowouts of all time.

Doncic will be ready to add to his list in this series. The 23-year-old superstar is going to hunt Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as he looks to wear down the Warriors' guards by forcing them to expend energy on defense. Expect to see Luka backing down Curry plenty in this series.

Doncic is the best player in the NBA right now, and he will be looking to control this series. The 6’7 point guard wants to force Golden State to play at his pace as he looks to hunt mismatches and ruin the Warriors' defense. There is no good way to guard Doncic, and Golden State does not have a player that can slow him down one-on-one. Expect Draymond Green to try, but the results will favor number 77.
